  Scott Christensen

  Chief Executive Officer

  Scott Christensen was named CEO of King’s Daughters Medical Center in August of 2022. Christensen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. His career has been defined by his innovative response to changes in the healthcare landscape and by his marked success in varied settings, including rural healthcare and small community hospitals, large urban hospitals, and system-based healthcare. He joins KDMC after a career in various senior leadership roles with hospitals, medical centers, and physician practices in the Mississippi delta, the gulf coast of Florida, and central Illinois.

  He is committed to achieving financial and quality outcomes for his facilities, chiefly through investing back into a hospital’s greatest asset – its employees and caregivers – and through fulfilling its mission to improve the quality of life for the surrounding area.

  Christensen was born and raised in a small Midwestern town on the Mississippi River, where he was taught the values of family, education, and hard work alongside the importance of community leadership and adherence to the quality of his own moral character.

  Christensen is currently Chairman of the Mississippi Hospital Association. He has been honored by his peers as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has earned statewide recognition as a Community Legend and Top CEO (twice). He has also been published in the Healthcare Financial Management Association for his strategic planning efforts in a challenging market. Christensen is active in the industry and communities he serves through various healthcare and community boards, the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board, Mississippi Trauma Care System, Chamber & Economic Alliance, United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Rotary Club.

  Adam Moore

  Chief Financial Officer

  Adam Moore was named Chief Financial Officer for King's Daughters Medical Center in 2023. With this role, he oversees the finances of the hospital and clinic system. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Adam has served nine years on Active Duty as a US Army Officer, and he currently serves as Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves.

  Mr. Moore came to KDMC with years of experience in finance and began his career as the Controller with King's Daughters Medical Center. Adam is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi where he received a degree in Business Administration, and he received his Master of Accountancy from Mississippi College.

  Adam is married to Ashley Moore and has two children, Harper and Kaylee.

  Jeffrey Ross, MD

  Chief Medical Officer, Director of Inpatient Medicine and Chief of Staff

  Dr. Jeffrey Ross, a hospitalist and emergency medicine physician, serves as Chief Medical Officer and Director of Inpatient Medicine at King's Daughters Medical Center. As CMO, he is the liaison between administration and medical staff, collaborating on the needs of the hospital. As Director of Inpatient Medicine, he oversees the hospitalist program and communicates with other physicians to coordinate continued care and treatment plans while also providing inpatient care to critical care patients.

  A board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Ross was in private practice in Brookhaven for approximately 10 years before he started working in the KDMC Emergency Department as the unit's Director. He developed the hospitalist program at KDMC in 2003 and continues his role as its Director.

  Dr. Ross received his medical degree at completed his internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He performed his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the University of Kentucky. He began practicing medicine in 1990.

  Originally from Whitfield, Mississippi, he and his wife, Susan, enjoy being part of the Brookhaven community where they have raised their family of three children.

  Jaymie Heard, DNP, RN

  Chief Nursing Officer

  Jaymie Heard, DNP, RN, became Chief Nursing Officer in August 2022. Jaymie has been with KDMC since August 2006 and has served as Director of Inpatient Nursing since February 2008.

  He attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he obtained his BSN, Masters in Nursing with an emphasis in Leadership, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

  Jaymie is active with the Mississippi Hospital Association, where he has served as President of the MHA Nurse Executive Committee and on the Board of the MHA Healthcare Quality Committee. He is also a member of the Mississippi and American Organization of Nurse Executives.

  Jaymie’s wife Amy is also in healthcare as a radiology tech at KDMC Medical Clinic. They have one son, Jackson. They reside in Wesson and are active members of Clear Branch Baptist.

  Amy L. Walker, MSN, FNP-BC

  Chief Administrative Officer

  Amy Lampton Walker, CFNP, became Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of King’s Daughters Medical Center in November of 2023. Amy is a native of southwest Mississippi. She grew up in Magnolia, MS, and continues to have ties to the area. Amy joined us from the Mississippi Delta, bringing with her an impressive background in nursing and healthcare administration, leading various medical center and health system operations.

  As Chief Administrative Officer, Amy serves in a variety of areas including many ancillary functions, quality, and compliance, and provides additional oversight and guidance on many clinical aspects of providing the best care for our patients.

  As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (CFNP), Amy possesses a unique perspective that aligns with KDMC's patient-centric approach to healthcare. With a background in nursing and healthcare administration, Amy demonstrates outstanding leadership and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
