Supporting OUR hospital.
The KDMC Foundation was founded with a purpose. That purpose was to support our hospital and clinics by giving financial support to projects that are crucial to our patients and employees. Healthcare is more challenging than ever. You want your healthcare organization to be the best. Through your donations, the KDMC Foundation helps our healthcare system reach that goal, for all of us.

The KDMC Foundation is the fundraising arm of King’s Daughters Medical Center. Its sole purpose is to raise funds for special projects or equipment purchases throughout the hospital and clinical system. Over the past six years, the Foundation has gifted KDMC approximately $1,000,000 dollars to help fund crucial needs. This was all made possible through generous donations from individuals, employers, and even KDMC’s own employee base.
KDMC Foundation Director, Jeff Richardson said, “With the financial battles all hospitals have endured over the past couple of years, it is even more crucial for our foundation to step up and assist. We are so excited to help provide our community with this state-of-the-art equipment.” The $100,000 donation helped provide the funds to purchase a new 3D Mammogram for the imaging department at KDMC.
“We are so excited to receive this donation that provides our staff with the latest and greatest equipment that will help our patients,” said Wanda Biokua, KDMC Radiology Director.
The KDMC Foundation presented the check during their annual Think Pink luncheon that honors breast cancer survivors and promotes early detection and awareness of breast cancer.
KDMC CEO, Scott Christensen said, “This is a special gift from our foundation. Because of the ongoing fundraising efforts of the KDMC Foundation, it provides the hospital with the resources to provide quality health care to our community. This donation was given by our employees, community, and businesses, and, that says a lot about our community and hospital.”
