About Joey

Dr. Joey Sessums specializes in pediatric dental surgery for children who are too young to cooperate in the clinic or who have special needs or dental anxiety. The procedures she performs include extractions, crowns, fillings, and any needed oral rehabilitation. Dr. Sessums is the daughter of Dr. Kim Sessums, an OB-GYN on the medical staff at King’s Daughters Medical Center, and her maternal grandfather was a dentist in rural Mississippi for three decades. She worked as a general dentist with emphasis on children’s dental care, then completed her specialty fellowship training before moving back to Brookhaven where she has been in practice for several years.
