Melissa White

Speech-Language Pathologist

Melissa joined the team at KDMC Therapy Center in July 2020 as a Speech and Language Pathologist.

She holds a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences and a Master of Speech and Hearing Sciences from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Melissa holds additional certifications in DINES VitalStim Therapy, which is used in the treatment of swallowing disorders. She is also certified in LSVT LOUD, which is a treatment for speech disorders associated with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.

Melissa has over two decades of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a variety of settings. Her hospital experience includes acute, outpatient for pediatric and adult patients, and modified barium swallow studies. She has also worked in inpatient rehab, long-term acute care, home health, early childhood, and skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.

“I am so fortunate to work with a wonderful group of people in a positive and encouraging environment,” Melissa said.

When Melissa is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to church, exercising, and reading.
